Samsung Laser Printers - How to Use Duplex or Double Sided Printing in Windows

Only models that support duplex printing can print automatically on both sides of a piece of paper. This setting is enabled in the printer properties section of the printer driver or in the software application such as Microsoft Word. For those models that do not support duplex, it can manually print both sides of a piece of paper by feeding the paper back into the printer using the manual feed slot.
To print a duplex page, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Device and Printers. This is in the Control Panel in the Start Menu using Windows 7 or All Apps using Windows 8.
  2. Right click on the printer, then select Printer Preferences.

  3. Below Double-Sided Printing select Long Edge or Short Edge depending on preference.

    note:
Long Edge is meant for book bindings whereas Short Edge is for media like calendars.
  4. Click Apply and OK to save the changes.
    note:
If the printer has a manual duplex feeder, a prompt appears to turn the paper around, upside down, after the first image is printed. If the printer has an automatic duplex feeder, the printer automatically prints on both sides. To check what option the printer has, go to support.hp.com, type in the printer model, and click on specifications.
