Intel has informed HP of a potential security vulnerability identified in the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) which may allow escalation of privilege. Intel is releasing software updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability.

Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) is used to support the overclocking feature in certain versions of the HP OMEN Command Center. Mitigated versions of Intel XTU are being provided via OMEN Command Center SDK Package updates for systems that support overclocking.
