HP Business PCs - HP Client Windows PE 10 x64 Driver Packs are not supported in full Windows operating systems

HP Client Windows PE 10 x64 Driver Packs are compatible only with the Windows PE operating system. HP does not support using HP Client Windows PE 10 x64 Driver Packs when building a full Windows operating system image.

If you are running a different Windows operating system, the Windows PE drivers are not compatible, and might not function.

Install platform-specific driver packs from HP

You can use platform-specific driver packs that are already assembled by HP.

These driver packs might be slightly more out-of-date than the drivers posted on HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads. These driver packs have been fully tested on each specific operating system, and are approved by HP. To determine which driver pack you need to download, see https://hpia.hpcloud.hp.com/downloads/driverpackcatalog/HP_Driverpack_Matrix_x64.html.

Build driver packs

You can build driver packs using HP Image Assistant (HPIA). These drivers are the newest and have been fully tested for each specific operating system, and have been approved by HP.

See the following links for more information.

Use HP Client Management Script Library to create driver packs

You can create driver packs using the HP Client Management Script Library (HP CMSL) by running one of the following HP CMSL commands in PowerShell.

  • New-HPDriverPack

  • New-HPBuildDriverPack

For more information about using the HP CMSL, see The New HP CMSL Build Your Own Driver Pack Commands. To download the latest version of HP CMSL, go to HP Client Management Solutions. Or, download the HP CMSL module from PowerShell at https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages?q=hpcmsl.
